Three Generations of Building Connecticut Communities. Now We Manage Them Too.
Our Management Firm
Our StoryAlca Management Services was founded in 2026, but our story starts in 1968.
That's when Joseph Calafiore started Alca Construction Co. with a belief that has guided this family ever since: that well-built, well-maintained housing makes communities stronger. His son, Joseph A. Calafiore, carried that vision forward beginning in 1992, building over 6,000 units across Connecticut and developing a hands-on understanding of what it actually takes to run a property right.
Continued Legacy
Now, the third generation is continuing that legacy.
Alca Management Services was born from a question we kept coming back to: if we've spent decades building and owning properties, why not put that experience to work for other owners too?
We know what it takes to build a community from the ground up. We know what owners worry about and what residents need. That perspective, earned over fifty years, is what we bring to every property we manage.

Building Our Community
Based in Hartford, CT, we currently serve the Greater Hartford area and Central Connecticut, with active expansion underway into New Haven County and surrounding communities.
Our goal is to become the most trusted regional property management partner in Connecticut: hands-on enough to know every property we manage, established enough to serve owners across the state.
We Think Like Owners. Because We Are.
We don’t just manage properties. We’ve built them, owned them, and lived with the consequences of every decision.
We know what deferred maintenance costs down the road. We know what good financial reporting looks like because we've needed it ourselves. We combine that owner's mindset with a responsive, personal approach and modern technology, because we believe property owners deserve the best so their residents get the best.
For owners, that means transparency, proactive communication, and real accountability. You'll never have to chase us down for an update.
For residents, that means maintenance that actually gets done, communication that's respectful, and a community they're proud to call home. A well-managed home isn't a luxury. It's a standard.
The People Behind the Properties
We're a team built on decades of experience and one simple belief: good management starts with good people. We show up, follow through, and treat every property and every person in it with the respect they deserve. That's not a mission statement. It's just how we work.
